Shari Bluband, Executive Director

Shari is responsible for day-to-day operations and leadership at the Martin-O’Neil Cancer Center. She comes to this position having had responsibility for multiple cancer centers at University of Minnesota Physicians, where she was involved in all aspects of operations, including design, startup and ongoing successful performance.

“I had worked in other areas of health care before moving to oncology,” she says. “After having several friends and family members experience cancer, I wanted to participate in a way that would improve the experience for other patients and families.”

“Cancer patients are special, and their needs are extensive,” she continues. “This team is skilled at supporting physical, emotional and spiritual health. They have an unusual balance of compassion and brilliance. It is a rare opportunity to be part of something so meaningful.”

Shari received her undergraduate degree in Health Care Administration from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and her MBA in Medical Group Administration from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN.
