Intensive Outpatient Program

St. Helena Hospital’s Center for Behavioral Health offers an Intensive Outpatient Program geared toward helping our patients learn new coping skills and gain the ability to identify the signs and symptoms of their specific psychiatric disorders.

Because needs and lifestyles vary among our patients, we offer several options for care. A psychiatrist works with each patient and his or her loved ones to make the right choice for treatment. Typically, clients may attend the program two to three hours per day, three to five days a week (Monday through Friday).

Patients are cared for by a team of psychiatric professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, social workers and others. A psychiatrist from our team meets with each client at least once a month, as well as whenever an additional meeting is needed. Highlights of our program include:

  • Individual and group psychotherapy
  • Medication management
  • Coping skills
  • Individual skill building.
