Established in 1968, St. Helena Hospital Clear Lake added an Intensive Care Unit in 1983. It was purchased by Adventist Health in 1997, with the obligation to maintain and operate it as an acute care hospital including basic emergency and perinatal services. In 2003, the Redbud Family Medical Clinic broke ground. In 2005, the hospital became a critical access hospital enabling better funding for operations and capital spending. In 2007, the Hidden Valley Lake Medical Offices opened. In addition, the infrastructure work was begun for expansion of the emergency department. St. Helena Hospital Clear Lake continues to expand and improve operations on an ongoing basis.
