Biography
Dr. Azari earned her medical degree in 2006 from St. George’s University, Grenada, West Indies, followed by an Internship in Internal Medicine at Maricopa County Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine/University of Texas Health Science Center Alliance in 2010. She completed a Fellowship in ACGME Anesthesiology Interventional Pain from Duke University in 2011.
Her extensive training on subjects related to pain and physical function includes a variety of interventions, including neuromodulation and various pain-relieving muscle and joint injection methods. Her expertise includes proficiency in musculoskeletal and neurological interventions, including epidurals, facet injections, radiofrequency ablations, joint injections, peripheral nerve and sympathetic blocks, lumbar spinal cord stimulation and implants and botox.
Dr. Azari is a strong advocate for using integrated treatment options that focus on the whole person, mind, body & spirit. With this approach patients learn how to live better, function better and lead longer, healthier lives.
