Board certified orthopedic surgeon, John Diana, MD, specializes in minimally invasive knee and hip replacement surgery. Dr. Diana has performed over 1000 hip replacement surgeries, half of
which were using the anterior hip replacement approach. He has performed over 1500 knee joint replacement surgeries, is highly regarded for his work in computer-assisted navigation for joint replacements, and is certified as a MAKO™ robotic surgeon.

Dr. Diana focuses extensively on minimally invasive joint replacement surgery, using the latest state-of-the-art technologies. Using these minimally invasive surgical techniques may reduce pain, restore mobility and promote a quick return to normal activities for patients suffering from osteoarthritis and other conditions.

Dr. Diana graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Indiana University, and earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was awarded Chief Residency of Orthopedic Surgery. As Chief Resident, Dr. Diana received the DeForest Willard Award, the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a graduate.

Dr. Diana is an active member of the American Association of Hip and Knee surgeons. A devoted family man, Dr. Diana enjoys spending time with his wife, son and daugher. His primary interest, outside of work and time with family, is ultrarunning. Ultrarunning is primarily trail running and involves races over a marathon distance. Dr. Diana was a volunteer physician for the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials in 2012, and is a member of the USATF. He has also done volunteer medical work in both Guatemala and Kenya, providing medical services and education.
